Presentation skills

Prepare and practise delivery of a great talk or presentation. Our coaching focuses on individual practice and improvement. Following a short outline of the key communication concepts, the session offers the opportunity to practise the opening, main body and ending of your presentation and provides you with immediate and actionable feedback to improve on content and delivery. The day covers:

  • Strategic communications: goal setting
  • Audience-centred communications

  • Messages, structure, and storytelling
  • Working on your personal presence

Format: full day, face-to-face.

Media training

3x3 Virtual Communication

Acquire solid skills for delivering better virtual presentations. The 3×3 formula focuses on the foundations. Your training includes 3 virtual sessions of 3 hours each.

  • Session one: Define the presentation goal, connect the content to the audience, define your personal presence, and start a presentation.
  • Session two: Design and deliver a PowerPoint presentation online, incorporating stories and strong body language, making good use of one’s voice and virtual delivery skills.
  • Session three: Manage a virtual Q&A and promote audience engagement and dialogue remotely.

Format: small groups (of up to 4) to allow time for practice and personal feedback.

Dialogue coaching

Engaging in dialogue strengthens the authenticity, openness, and empathy of the speaker. Retention of information and acceptance of a point of view is much higher when you give the audience an opportunity to engage you on the topic. So, speak less, listen more. This half-day training focuses on encouraging dialogue, getting people to talk and ask questions, and handling a Q&A effectively. Avoid any awkward silence at the end of your prepared remarks, and make sure you are not the only voice in the room.

Format: half-day, online or face-to-face

Panel training

Panels are not a competition, but there are winners and losers. Make sure you stand out in your panel with engaging content, excellent participation and interaction, and solid preparation. Work the crowd and engage your fellow speakers and chairperson with confidence. Draw attention to your point-of-view with strong statements and wit.

Format: half-day, face-to-face in a simulated panel set-up.

Crisis Communications

Our crisis communications training is a combination of media training and crisis leadership coaching. The training is built around a crisis scenario specific to your company, and lets you manage crisis communications with different audiences (media, employees, communities, etc.). The focus is on:

  • Showing both care and control
  • Defining crisis priorities and communication goals
  • Framing the event and mastering crisis messaging
  • Protecting the company by staying disciplined in your communication
  • Dealing with tough, emotional, hostile and difficult questions
  • Avoiding pitfalls and upsetting statements
  • Reflecting on the company’s crisis communications approach and identifying improvements.

Format: online (half-day) or face-to-face (full day). Focus on media-only is also possible.

Personal Communications Coaching

In one-on-one coaching, we get personal. This coaching is for company leaders and talent that benefits from an individual approach that fits their schedule. The coaching allows leaders to get ready for any strategic engagement with media, employees, customers or other stakeholders. You work privately with a senior coach on your own specific topic and audience. Coaching content is driven by your needs. It typically includes:

  • Strategic reflection on business goals, communication goals and audience motivation
  • Practice for the stakeholder engagement by working on messaging, storytelling and structure
  • In-depth coaching on personal presence and visual and vocal delivery – including individual review of video recordings
  • Counsel and exercises on challenging Q&As and engaging in dialogue
  • Coaching on specific formats (as requested), e.g. keynotes, teleprompter speeches, panel participation or high profile media interviews
  • An exclusive online workspace with trainer comments and an individual improvement plan to ensure a steep learning curve.

Format: individual (series) of 2-hour online sessions.
